What is the function of the uterus?
Called the ‘womb’-if egg is fertilised it will implant in the wall of the uterus and develop into a foetus.
What is the function of the cervix?
Opening or ‘neck’ pf the uterus at the top of the vagina.
What is the function of the vagina?
Connects the cervix to the outside of the body, sperm is deposited here during se*.
What is the function of the ovum?
Female cell, called the egg.
What is the function of the ovary?
After puberty an egg or ovum is released from here once every 28 days.
What is the function of the oviduct?
Carries the ovum/egg from the ovary to the uterus.
What is the function of the sperm?
Male cell, swims from vagina to egg.
What is the function of the testes?
After puberty, these make sperm continuously.
What is the function of the scrotum?
Sac of skin used to hold the testes.
