What is plot in a story?
The story’s series of events. Think of plot as the story’s skeleton: it defines the What, When, and Where of the story, which allows for everything else (like characters and themes) to develop.
What is setting in a story?
the time, duration, and place an author chooses to write about. The place of a setting can be a real location or a fantasy made up location. The time of a setting can be the past, present, or future.

What is climax?
is the highest point of tension in a storyline, often depicted by a confrontation between the protagonist and antagonist.
What is resolution?
is the end of the story. It occurs after the CLIMAX. It is when you learn what happens to the characters after the CONFLICT is resolved.
What is mood?
is the emotional atmosphere within the story produced by the author’s use of language. Pay attention to the way the author describes the events, the setting, the way a character reacts to what is happening, and the final outcome of the conflict or resolution of the problem.
