Light source, slide, objective lenses, and ocular lenses.

What is the purpose of the Light source?
To illuminate the specimen being viewed.
What is the purpose of the Ocular lens?
To further magnify the image produced by the objective lens.
What is the purpose of the Objective lenses?
To directly observe the object the microscope user is examining.
What is the purpose of the Slide?
To hold a specimen in place so that it can be viewed under the microscope.
Where is the Light source?
It is at the base of the microscope, underneath the stage.
Where is the Ocular lens?
It is at the top of a microscope, closest to the user’s eye.
Where is the Objective lenses?
It is positioned directly above the stage, close to the specimen being viewed.
Where is the Slide?
It is on the microscope’s stage.
