1. Measure the mass of a regular object
2. Work out its volume by measuring the sides
3. Work out its density using ρ = m/V
4. Measure the mass of an irregular object
5. Fill a large beaker 3/4 to the top

7. Put the irregular object in and measure the new height
8. Work out the volume of the displaced water - this is equal to the volume of the object
