What are the 3 types of bulletins and what information do they contain?
Semi-Permanent - contains instructions which will apply for more than several days
Information bulletins- apply for the day/s of operation only and includes information on general daily instructions, running of extra trains and maintenance work
Special bulletins - Covers one or more days for unusual circumstances
Speed restrictions
Temporary speed restrictions are notified on a speed restrictions advise issued by kiwirail
Operating personnel must make sure they have current speed restriction information before departing their origin and intermediate terminals
Station personnel may be requested by train control to advise the driver of additional bulletins or speed restriction
