To protect society and innocent people
What does retribution mean?
For the victims add society to see that the person is punished fairly
What does reformation mean?
To give criminals a chance to change their ways and lead better life
What is capital punishment?
Legally killing someone for a crime that they have committed

All life is sacred
What is a pacifist?
Someone who believes that war and violence are unjustifiable
What is just war?
A war where it is morally right to fight
What is social justice?
A society which treats people fairly
What does pacifism mean?
Refusal to fight/Violet is never justified
What does a holy war mean?
A war fought in the name of God
What does prisoner of conscience mean?
Someone inspired for what they believe/who they are
What is a just cause?
The war must be started for a right reason
What does social injustice mean?
Used when some people are seen to be discriminated against in society and have fewer rights or benefits then others
What is a conscientious objector?
A person he refuses a call up to war base on it going ago ant their conscience
What does conditional pacifism mean?
The belief that all violence is wrong except where self defence is concerned
