Responsibility and authority of the pilot in command.
(A) The PIC of an aircraft is directly responsible for, and is the final authority as to, the operation of that aircraft., (B) In an in-flight emergency requiring immediate action, the PIC may deviate from any rule to meet that emergency., (C) Each PIC who deviates from a rule shall, upon request of the FAA, send a written request of that deviation to the FAA

Civil aircraft airworthiness
(A) No person may operate a civil aircraft unless it is airworthy, (B) The PIC is responsible for determining if an aircraft is airworthy and discontinue a flight when unairworthy conditions occur.

Follow the flight manual, markings, and placards of the airplane and have the manual in the aircraft

(A) Cannot endanger the life or property of another

Objects cannot be dropped that’ll be a hazard to persons or property (Precautions can be taken for dropping items)

(b) (5) Any portable electronic device that the operator of the aircraft has determined will not cause interference is okay

Flight crewmembers at stations
Required crewmembers have to be at stations during takeoff and landing with safety and shoulder harness on, and en route only safety belt unless they need to move

(a) Can’t takeoff unless PIC briefs passengers about how to fasten and unfasten safety belts, (a) (2) Can’t takeoff, land, or move on the surface unless each person has been notified by PIC to fasten their safety belt, (a) (3) Each passenger must have an approved seat during takeoff, landing, and surface

Operating near other aircraft
(a) No person may operate an aircraft close enough to create a hazard to another aircraft, (b) Formation flying needs to be arranged by the PIC of each aircraft involved, (c) Can’t carry pax for hire while in formation

Head-On: Both aircraft turn right, In distress: Distressed aircraft has ROW, Converging: Aircraft on the other’s right as ROW, Overtaking: Overtaken aircraft has ROW, Landing: Lower altitude aircraft has ROW and aircraft on final has ROW over surface aircraft

Below 10,000: 250 kts, Within 4 NM and at or below 2,500 ft of Class C or D airspace: 200 kts, Within Class B airspace or within VFR Corridor: 200 kts

Anywhere: Can make emergency landing, Congested areas: 1000’ above highest obstacle within 2000’ radius, Other than congested area: 500’ above anything
