Record the rules for scientific drawings
A
- Use a sharp pencil
- No fuzzy lines
- No shading or colour
- Label lines must be drawn with a ruler (and preferably parallel to the top of the page)
- Label lines mustn’t cross
- Label lined must touch what they are labelling
- No arrowheads

Explain the function of the different parts of the microscope:
Course focus
Fine focus
Light
Eyepiece
Objective lens
Stage
Slide

Course focus: Used when first focusing the sample
Fine focus: Used to fully focus the sample
Light: Illuminates the slide, making the specimen visible
Eyepiece: The part you look through and also contains a x10 lens
Objective lens: You can rotate to allow ise of x4, x10, or x40 lenses
Stage: The slide is placed on this
Slide: The specimen to view is mounted on here
