Supplementary angles
Two angles that add up to 180 degrees
Complementary angles
Two angles that add up to 90 degrees
Vertical angles
The opposite angles formed by intersecting lines ; they are congruent to each other
Adjacent angles
Angles that share a common side, a common vertex and do not over lap
Congruent.
The same as equal in measure
Bisect
Legs spit an angle or segment into two congruent parts
Midpoint
The point that divides a segment into two congruent parts
Intersecting lines
Two or more lines that meet at a common point
Point of intersection
Two points where two lines meet
Parallel line
Two or more planes that do not intersect
Intersecting planes
Two or more planes that intersect at a line
Transversal
A line that passes through two or more other lines
Skew line
Lines not in the same plane and do not intersect
Perpendicular lines
Lines that intersect at right angles
Perpendicular bisector
A line, segment or ray that is perpendicular to segment at it’s midpoint
