Part 1 Flashcards

1
Q

What are the first 5 key concepts?

A

1) cells are compartmentalised
2) cells become specialised
3) Cells are dynamic (change shape, move, active)
4) Cells are social - interact and coordinate
5) Cells are robust

Q

How are cells fault tolerant?

e.g different caspases for apoptosis to break down cell components

One by one move a gene from the cell

see what happens after to see how important the gene is to the cell
