PART 1 Flashcards
- Do you talk with your friends about the program you watched?
Of course, I often share my favorite watchlist with my friends
because we have the same interests. We have endless stories about what shows we like and dislike, which I think is really fun.
For me, that’s also a great way to connect and build up my last-long friendship.
- Do you like watching the same kind of program all the time?
Honestly, I don’t have the habit of revisiting shows that I already finished.
Mainly because I felt like it went downhill while watching again and I thought it was quite predictable.
I am already aware of the cliffhangers and the build-up to the climax, so watching the same kind of program all the time is kind of bland to me.
- What kind of TV programs do you like?
It depends.
Sometimes, if I’m tired at the end of the day, I’ll just put on a sitcom, or a cookery show or st.
If I want st more serious, I like drama series and documentaries.
- Do you often watch programs on the TV or on your cell phone?
Well, I prefer watching shows on my phone. The heyday of television is over and I haven’t connected my TV aerial for years.
Streaming services such as Netflix or Disney Plus are prevailing because you are able to watch what you want when you want and let you watch TV shows from other countries and in other languages, whereas broadcast TV forces you to follow at a specific time which I think is inconvenient.
- Do students learn maths in secondary schools in Vietnam?
Well, for sure.
- Maths is a compulsory subject that students have to do in the secondary school’s curriculum.
- There is a misunderstanding that some knowledge in maths is impractical. Regardless, maths helps you develop your creative and logical thinking, which is beneficial in the long run.
- Do you think maths is difficult?
I’m not sure what other people think but in my case. I find it quite tough. There Are simply too many formulas and equations to memorize
Back when I was in high school, I always had to struggle with math homework and my grades were pretty average
- What can people do with maths in their daily life?
Without a doubt. We can’t get by without knowing the basics of maths. Take personal finance. For example, we need to have a good grasp of our income and expenses, otherwise, we can easily overspend and end up in the red.
On top of that, people need to know how to add and subtract, which is used in daily life. For instance, when we go shopping, we can control our money.
- Do you learn math now? Why?
Well, to be honest, after graduating from university, I haven’t taken another math class.
But I still learn and use it every single day, in life and at work. Mainly because math plays a crucial role in our lives. It helps us calculate things in a quicker way. More importantly, it enhances our problem-solving and reasoning skills in the long run.
For example, I’m working in the Logistics field so every day I have to calculate some indicators to plan demand forecasts.
Or I need to plan a budget for our holidays so we don’t over budget.
- Do you like talking with people?
Yes, I’m a very social person and I love talking with other people even if I don’t know them.
In fact every day on my commute to college, I like to pick up conversations with my fellow passengers on the bus
It gives me a new perspective, makes me empathetic, and just brings different dimensions to my own world.
- How do you like spending time with your friend?
Well honestly I don’t have a lot of friends but I do have a few really good, close friends that I spend time with and talk to all the time.
I usually hang out with them over the weekend And we have a lot of fun activities like going camping or watching a movie in the theater or eating out at a restaurant.
We all get on really well and have a lot in common so we are always happy doing the same things and going to the same place.
I think it’s a really good way to Build up a last long friendship
- Do you study alone or with others?
I think it really depends.
If I need to buckle down for the final exam At School, I prefer studying on my own as I find it easier to concentrate and focus on my studies.
Sometimes when I Participate in scientific research, I tend to work with others, especially my university friends. It’s more effective to collaborate with others instead of studying alone. We can exchange our thoughts, share our opinions and learn a lot from them.
- Do You remember a time when you need to cooperate with others?
Honestly, I work with lots of people either for work or for study, but I’ve never forgotten that When I first started work in my previous role, a trainee member of the team was cold and dismissive towards me. Every time I asked them for guidance, they gave short answers, and they weren’t very receptive to my questions.
For me, I would see it as a challenge to try and build a better working relationship for the sake of the team.
- What apps have you recently used?
It is said that these days I cannot live without Facebook.
It has become an integral part of my life. I need to stay in touch with my friends 24.7 so that I won’t ever feel lonely.
I know being a social media addict isn’t good but I don’t want to miss out on what my friends are currently doing.
- What kinds of apps are you usually interested in?
Apart from Facebook, I spend most of my time watching Youtube, which is also a social media platform.
There are tons of amazing videos on Youtube so I can learn everything for free like learning Chinese, how to make cake, you name it.
On top of that, I can upload my video and share some interesting contents with everyone. If I am lucky enough I can become a famous youtuber and can earn money from that platform. That’s not easy because it requires you’re always creative and dedicated to this job.
- What was the first app you used?
The first application I used is probably Gmail. I had to set up an account to receive instructions and homework from my teacher. At that time, the appearance of the Gmail website was quite simple, so I got the hang of it pretty quickly. Now Google has updated several new functions to it so it is kind of messy.
