A
Extrinsic details may not be used to supplement or modify a written contract. Applies to extrinsic evidence of prior agreements and contemporaneous spoken agreements

- extrinsic evidence may be used to determine if an agreement is an integrated and if it is partially or completely integrated
- Extrinsic evidence may be used to define ambiguous terms
- Extrinsic evidence may be used to support a defense to enforceability
