Public opinion/media
members of the public can make their feelings known by writing to their MP and newspapers. the media can heavily influence law reform as they add weight to the public opinion
pressure groups
groups that are concerned with particular issues may try to try influence law-making. they try to bring matters of interest in to the attention of the public and government
sectional pressure groups
promotes the interests of a particular section of society
cause pressure groups
promote the idea or beliefs in society
law commission
the law commission is a full time reform body therefore their role is “to keep under review all the law”
European union
Europe has influenced some major chances in our laws especially focusing on rights of individuals
