law making process

new act of p must propasal must be approved by hol, hoc and crown

pre leg; ideas published in green paper for consulation before put forward on white paper which is a firm set of prosolas also know as the bill
once approvwd by cabinet bill can start off in either house

first reading; bill introduced foe the first time

second reading; main debate takes place, mps speak and stae views then followed by a vote either vebal (aye/nay) or formal walking through either door

comitte stage; if bill is approved, goes thru comitte stage, speacially selected comittee will scrutinse and examine each clasue to make sure it achieves its aim and is clear around 16-50 mps

report stage; anya mmendanets made are reposrted back to the house it started in and the debated and voted on

third reasding; whichevr house bill started in final vote takes place in ammnded form, only debated if 6+ mps reqyest
other house; bill passed on to other hpuse and whole proccess is then repated

ping pong stage;if 2nd house makes any ammendantes must be passd to 1st house to be approved, if rejected bill gets passed backa nd forth unti bothe agree
hoc can use
eg illegal immigration bill
parctice statemnet 1911/1949 to push a bill without hol approval as hoc are elected rather than appointed act limits hol power by reducing lords delaying powers
eg hunting act 2004

royal assent; monarch as to approve bill for it to vecome law, only shown the titel not full text, no rejections since 300 years ago
