  • dopaminergic neurones from the SNc send dopamine along nigrostriatal pathways to the dorsal striatum for motor control*?
  • degeneration of the nigrostriatal dopaminergic pathway

  • impaired synth, storage, release of dopamine
  • decreased striatal concentration of dopamine
