Parathyroid Basics Flashcards

1
Q

What is the basic patho function of the parathyroid gland

A

Parathyroid gland secretes produces parathyroid hormone that increases calcium in the blood by sequestering it from bones, increased reuptake from kidneys, and increases calcium absorption from the blood
