How do Calcium Channel Blockers work?
by dilating the arteries which reduce pressure in the arteries. This makes it easier for the heart to pump blood and as a result the heart needs less oxygen. this medication will relieve or prevent angina.

What is an ACE inhibitor?
a medication used primarily for the treatment of high blood pressure and heart failure.

by increasing the amount of salt and water that comes through urine. they lower your blood pressure by flushing salt out of your body, taking this unwanted extra fluid with it.

Nitrates are medications used for treating or preventing heart pain caused by heart disease, usually of the arteries in the heart.

How do Nitrates work?
Essentially nitrates dilate - that is wide or relax. the arteries and the veins not only in the heart but also elsewhere in the body. by dilating the blood vessels of the heart, nitrates can reduce the stress on the heart by improving blood flow to the heart muscle.
