– Measure the natural length of the spring with a millimetre ruler clamped to the stand. Make sure you take a reading at eyelevel And as a marker to the bottom of the spring to make the reading more accurate
– add a master the spring to allowed to come to rest – record the mass and measure the new love the spring
– the extension is the changing length
– plot a force extension graph

Investigating the effect of hearing the force and exenteration of an object

Set up the trolley so hold a piece of card of the gap in the middle that will interrupt the signal in the Lightgate twice
