What is emotive language?
Emotive language is the use of language which makes the reader feel a certain emotion. It often persuades by making the reader feel sympathetic or passionate about the thing your discussing.
What is a group of three?
A group of three is three words, all similar, next to each other.
For example:
School makes children emotional, frustrated and trapped.
What is a rhetorical question?
A rhetorical question is asked to make he reader think about it. It doesn’t expect an answer however, it makes the reader think
What does alliteration do?
It helps it be more engaging and interesting for the reader
What does exaggeration do?
It makes the reader be more effected as it is over the top
What does direct address do?
It makes the read feel the speech is more personal and directed at them
What does repetition do?
It emphasises how important something is so it sticks in their head
Why is rhyme useful?
If making a slogan, it allows you to make it catchy and more appealing to the audience
Humour?
Humour is good because it makes it more engaging for the reader. It should suit the audience you’re writing for
