MVDC: Message (clearly state message of the source), Viewpoint (is artist supportive or critical), Details (what in source proves message and viewpoint), Context (what relevant events could have influenced creator)

Sub-messages, big messages, and point of view (sources can agree on events but not on viewpoint)

A

What is source reliable for, is author reliable, is tone emotive or biased, does content match own knowledge, cross-reference another source, “reliable as evidence of the image they wish to be portrayed”

What structure should be used to answer a synthesis question?

A

First paragraph: explain each source supporting statement and whether each source is reliable
Second paragraph: same for each source not supporting the statement
Conclusion: choose which side seems more reliable and make a balanced conclusion answering the question
