- compare writers methods that they use such as tone of voice, format of text or even the narrative
- compare HOW these methods (language and structure) help to present writers viewpoints and perspectives.

- pretend to be someone else if you have no opinion.
- link answer to wider topics such as the environment, society and the economy.
- take one side, do not write a balanced argument
- consider the other side but quickly dismiss it
