Incarnation
The belief god became human in the form of Jesus
Sin
An action that disobeys god damaging our relationship with them
Trinity
The belief that god is one but appears in 3 forms
Salvation through good works
To be saved from the effects of sun through following gods commands
Salvation through faith in god - gods grace
To be saved from sin through faith in god and their forgiveness
Résurrection
To return to life after death -literally return to standing
Liturgical
A form of worship that follows a set structure
Easter
A Christian festival that remembers the death and celebrates the resurrect of Jesus
Persecution
To be mistreated and discriminated against for your beliefs
Baptism
Where a person is welcomed into the church. Often water is used to symbolise the removal of sin
Reconciliation
The act or process of repairing a relationship after it has been damaged. Seeking to restore peace
Lord’s Prayer
The words Jesus gave to his followers to praise, thank and ask god for forgiveness
Ascension
Jesus being taken up to heaven on the 40th day after Easter
Confirmation
A ceremony carried out by a bishop bestowing the gift of the Holy Spirit
Believers baptism
A ceremony to welcome an adult into the Christian religion
