How often should a Pap smear be obtained?
A
Annually until the age of 30, and then q 3 years thereafter if 3 previous consecutive paps were WNL.

When should the 1st Pap smear be obtained by?
A
3 years after initiation of vaginal intercourse or no later than 21 years of age.

When can Pap smear testing be discontinued?
A
In women who have had a complete hysterectomy or who are low risk who have reached the age of 65-70 years.
