Gopalan’s burning foot syndrome – characterised by paresthesia in lower extremities , staggering gait (bcs of improper coordination and sleep disturbances) ,
rare → in human beings
seen in→famine , prison camps , chronic alcoholics , renal dialysis patients
Experimental animals – anemia , ↓steroidogenesis ,fatty liver , adrenal necrosis , dermatitis
