40% each approx
2
Q
Gallstones pathway
A
1 bile reflux - damaged mucosa of pancreatic duct
2 duodenal reflex - activation of trypsin
3 increased intraductal pressure - accumulation of pancreatic enzymes
3
Q
Alcohol pathway
A
1 oddi sphincter spasms
2 acinar cell sensitivity to increased CCK which activates protease
3 decreased bicarbonate secretion leads to hyperviscosity

analysis and ng if needed
ERCP for gallstones
if kidney failure due to systemic then dialysis
