Axillary artery
Bony landmarks of muscle attachments of the following:
Latissimus dorsi
Trapezius
Rhomboid (major and minor)
Levator scapulae
Deltoid
Serratus anterior
Supraspinatus
Infraspinatus
Teres minor
Teres major
Triceps brachii (long, medial, lateral) heads
Radial artery and Ulnar artery
RA- Radial (lateral) aspect of anterior wrist
UA- Ulnar (medial) anterior aspect of wrist *typically larger and easier to palpate
Name and describe all the movements of the scapula.
Protraction - forward
Retraction- backward (pulled by rhomboideus)
Elevation - up
Depression - down
Medial rotation - Inferior angle moves towards midline
Lateral rotation - inferior border of scapular moves outward
Feel for pulse of axillary artery.
Anterior side above armpit
Feel for brachial artery
Push bicep away and dig into deep bicep area
