  1. War guilt clause ( they had to accept the blame for starting WW1)
    2 Reparations( germany had to pay 6.600million to the allies
    3 German territories and colonies(land was taken away from germany and the rhineland was demilitarized
    4 German armed forces( Army was limited by 100,000 men, conscription was banned, no armoured vehicle and no submarines/aircraft, the navy could only have 6 battleships)
    5 League of nations ( germany was not allowed to join the league of nations)

  • Strengthen democracy in defeated countries
    Give self-determination to small countries that had once been part of the European empires
    -International Cooperation.

Lloyd George agreed with with Wilson in public and even praised his ideas however in private hew was less possessive.

What points did LLoyd George agree on with Woodrow Wilson and why

A

He did not want to punish Germany too harshly because he didn’t want them to seek revenge in the future and start another war, Britain used to trade with Germany LLoyd George wanted the trade to continue. LLoyd George wanted to prevent another revolt like the communist revolt in russia in 1917.

  • West Prussia and Posen to Poland
  • Alsace Lorraine was given to France

  • East Prussia was given to Lithuania
  • Lithuania given to Estonia
    -Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia became independent states. Germany had taken these states from Russia in 1918
    -union between Austria and Germany was forbidden
