Acetaminophen: 325 mg

OTC MAX: 3000 mg/d (6 of 500 mg XS tabs) or 3250 mg/d (10 of the 325 mg tabs or 5 of the 650 mg tabs) Liver max: 2000 mg/d
Aspirin
81 mg or 325 mg
650 - 1000 mg PO p4-6 hrs PRN pain/fever
no children under 15 yo
MAX: 4000 mg/d
Motrin; Advil
Ibuprofen 200 mg
200-400 mg PO q4-6 PRN pain/fever
MAX: 1200 mg/d
Aleve
Naproxen 220 mg
220 PO q8-12 hours PRN pain/fever
(not rec. for < 12 yo)
MAX: 660 mg/d
(440 mg/d for age > 65 yrs)
Zostrix; Capzasin
Capsaicin topical (variable)
Apply sparingly to affected area 3-4 times/day for at least 14 days with medical supervision
MAX: 4 times/day
LidoPatch
Lidocaine HCL 3.6% Menthol 1.25% (topical analgesic)
Apply 1 patch to the affected area for 12 hours each day
1 patch q24 hours for 7 days
Tylendol Pediatric
Acetaminophen 160 mg/5 mL
Infants & Children <12 yrs:
10 – 15 mg/kg/dose PO every 4 to 6 hrs prn pain/fever
5 doses in 24 hours
Motrin, Advil Pediatric
Ibuprofen Infant: 50 mg/1.25 mL; Children: 100 mg/5 mL
> 6 months-11 years: 5-10 mg/kg/dose PO every 6– 8 hours prn pain/fever
4 doses in 24 hours
