inappropriate response caused by a dysfunction in the nervous system
symptoms of neuropathic pain
shooting or burning pain sensation tingling & numbness allodynia - pain to a stimulus that is not normally painful (light touch) hyperalgesia - increase in pain response that is normally painful (pin prick)
causes of neuropathic pain
spinal cord injury MS stroke diabetic neuropathy trigeminal neuralgia
