nociceptive pain
Damage or inflammation of the tissue
aching , throbbing , localized
neuropathic pain
damaged or abnormal nerves
intense burning , shooting ( pins and needles )
radiating ( somatic ) pain
starts at origin of pain and extends to surrounding areas
Referred (visceral) pain
pain occurs in area not related to original site
Phantom limb pain
neuropathic pain perceived from an area/ limb that has been removed

caution : liver doses , alcohol use
Ibuprofen (NSAIDS)
Max daily : 3200mg
Aspirin ( NSAIDS )
max daily : 3900mg
