  • gas will collect in measuring cyclineder
  • record final volume of CO2 in measuring cylinder

  • CO2 can ecape before bung inserted - insert bund soon as acid been poured in conical flak
  • some copper carbonate may not react - swirl flask to mix contentents ensure reaction go to completion
  • CO2 dissolve in water - use gas syring to measure CO2 measured
  • some copper carbonate may remain in weighing boat not transferred to conical flask - add copper carbonate from boat into conical flask reweigh boat and difference in masses is exact mass of copper carbonate

  • rinse conical flask with distilled water and add washing to evaporating basin
