vomiting - especially bile coloured

what is atresia of the small bowel

what is meconium ileus
condition where babys meconium is very sticky and cannot pass causing blockage of the bowel
meconium ileus is diagnosed when meconium has not passed after how long
> 24 hours
as well as no passage of meconium, how else does meconium ileus present
colon appears narrow and unused
abdominal distension
what is the most common cause of meconium ileus
cystic fibrosis - must do sweat test
how is meconium ileus managed
stop feeds
plain film abdo x-ray showing bowel obstruction and calcification
genetic testing for CF
