A
Each packet has a limited size.

What data does a packet contain?
A
The sender’s IP address, the destination IP address, the data being sent and the order it has to be rebuilt in.

How are packets sent through the Internet?
A
Your LAN connects to the Internet (a WAN) and sends the data to the receiver’s LAN.

How do LAN’s stop packets affecting network performance?
A
They use a proxy to find the URL of the data.

How do firewalls stop packets from sending restricted data?
A
They open the packet and scan it, and quarantine the packet if it contains anything malicious.
