Q

Method 1 for measuring wave speed

A

Time how long it takes a wave to travel a measured distance then use the equation s=d/t. Could use ecos to measure the speed if you know the distance tot eh object ref;eating the sound and double it for there and back

Q

Method 2 for measuring wave speed

A

Q

How does the choclea work

A

Vibrations from the oval window send waves through the fluid which fills the cochlea and in turn vibrates cilia, high frequencies are picked up by the long hairs at the bottom of the cochlea and low frequencies the short hairs at the top of the cochlea, also the membrane which holds the hairs are thicker and more rigid at the bottom helping pick up higher frequencies.
