What is a good piece of equipment for measuring short periods of time?
Light gates, because it eliminates the factor of human error and reaction time

High frequency sound waves
How would you use it to measure distance?
The device measures the amount of time taken for a pulse to travel there and back. It uses this value, and the speed of the pulse, to work out the distance
What is the equation for speed?
Speed=distance/time
What is a generic object for measuring time?
Stopwatches
Why can stopwatches be inaccurate?
Reaction timing

How do you convert speed?
You convert the either the distance, the time or both and then do the equation
