P2 Flashcards
What is the symbol for Distance
S
What is the symbol for speed
V
What is the symbol for time
T
How do you find Speed (V)
Speed (V) = Distance (S) divided by Time (T)
What is important about triangles
Triangles allow us to decide which way we should write our equation out
How do you find time
Time (T) = Distance (S) Divided by Speed (V)
Calculate the Speed of a car that travels 800 meters in 20 seconds
V = ??
S = 800 metres
T = 20 seconds
Divide Speed by Time to find the awnser (40 meters per seconds)
Calculate the speed of a bike that travels 250 meteres in 50nseconds
V = ??
S = 250 metres
T = 50 seconds
Divide Speed by Time to find the awnser (5 meters per seconds)
When finding an equation using the triangle
Remember to write the equation. Everytime you write it down you learn it and it you will remember it for long periods of time
When writing down your equations/awnsers make sure to
Remember your units
What is displacement
Displacement Includes both the distance object moves, measured in a straight line from the start point to the finish point and the direction of that straight line
How do you calculate the average?
To find the Average you must do reading 1 + reading 2 divided by reading 2
