A

Why does a feather and hammer fall at the same rate in a vacuum

A

Force applied to feather from gravity is less than force applied to hammer as it’s lighter. As more force is needed to accelerate a heavier object than a lighter object, the extra force on the hammer accelerates it towards the earth at the same acceleration as the feather. In a vacuum there are no other forces acting so fall at same rate. In the air, aire resistance slows down feather

What is terminal velocity

A

The fastest an object can fall before it stops accelerating. The speed at which the action force is equal to the reaction force, for skydivers its the point where force from gravity = air resistance
