Q

What was Dalton’s mode?

A

His model of the atom was a very small indestructible sphere. He suggested that all atoms in an element were the same and the atoms in one element are different from the atoms of all other elements

Q

What was Thomson’s model?

A

Thomson discovered the electron. Therefore he knew atoms contained negative electrons and were neutral. 1904, Thomson suggested the plum pudding model where the atom was a positive mass withe electrons embedded in it

Q

What was the Rutherford model?

A

Rutherford suggested an atom is made of a positively charged nucleus with electrons outside. This was concluded from his experiment firing alpha particles at a single atom thick gold foil
