10.1
What is mass ?
Mass is the amount of intertia(tendancy to want to stay in one place. Oppose movement or change of state).
Inertia?
M= F/A
What is weight equal to?
Weight= mass x gravitational feild strenght
Eg: on earth:
Mass=100kg
Weight = mass x gravitaional feild strenght(9.81N)
W=100x9.81(10)
W= 1000N
THE GREATER THE MASS THE GREATER THE FEILD STRENGHT
What does aceleration depend on ?
The force of the gravitational feild
Force?
Force = mass(kg) x acceleration (m/s2)
This is newtons seccond law : the acceleration of an object is proportional to the resaultant force acting on the object, and inversly propotional to the mass of the object.
What is newtons seccond law?
newtons seccond law : the acceleration of an object is proportional to the resaultant force acting on the object, and inversly propotional to the mass of the object.
