a transverse waves oscillations are perpendicular to the direction of travel.

what is the speed of a wave when the frequency is 5 Hz and it has a wavelength of 2m ?
speed=frequency x wavelength = 5 x 2 = 10 m/s
what is the frequency of a wave?
the number of waves that pass through one point in one second.
what is refraction?
the change in direction of a light ray when it passes through a transparent substance that has a different density.

70 degrees. angle of incidence = angle of reflection

diffraction is the spreading out of all waves, including light and sound, when they pass through a gap or round an obstacle.
