What is ozymandious about?
A king that didnt want to be forgotten but ended up getting forgotten anyway and is a reference to Ramses 2nd who was an egyptian pharaoh
Context of ozymandious?

“Ozymandious”
Ozymandious means to the rule the air which means he thought of himself as a God
“Shattered visage”
Shows a king who so badly wanted to be remembered but the dramatic irony is that even though he did try, by building statues they were broken and forgotten just like him.
“King of kings”
Reference to him being above everyone else which links to the recurring the e of him believeing himself to be a God
“Look on my works”
King clearly expected his empire and kingdom to survive which is dramtic irony.
