- Loose iambic pentameter- disrupted or decayed
- A sonnet - could be respect to Ozymandias or ,as the form is about love, could be another representation of the pharaohs hubris
- Enjambment and caesuras - apparent lack of control, set against highly structured form of sonnet, reminder of the limits of Ozymandias’s power

‘The hand that mocked them, the heart that fed’
A
- Introduces the volta
- Caesura - makes the reader pause to realise how callous and cruel he is
- ‘Mocked’ - connotations of belittling and ridicule
- ‘Heart that fed’ - irony, feeding them nothing as he is ‘cold’ hearted
- Also describing the sculpture, suggests art it more powerful than political power, mocking him as he portrays him as his true self
- Portrays him as a monster as he’s ‘feeding’ off the vulnerable people
