-Used to describe his power and how it has been half sunk

Represents his shattered power and how it has decayed

- Emphasises the users distaste towards the protagonist as the use of alliterative plosive sounds

- Trying to put himself in a position where he is regarded as a god.

- Juxtaposition to emphasize that his power that used to be big is now completely destroyed to an even larger scale.
