Q

emergency oxygen

A
  • if the cabin pressure altitude exceeds 13 000 ft x 30 minutes
  • hazardous fumes enter the flight deck
  • the Cp altitude exceeds 15 000 ft, all the passengers with 02, above 14 000 ft 30% and 10 000 ft 10% of pax

EROS - Emengency Regulating Oxygen System

A

use only for crew member, can give mixture or 100% of 02 on demand. all aircraft that have a maximum operating altitude above 25 000 ft.

Q

Chemical O2 generator

A

is a light self-contained devices and are located in each pax cabin attendants and lavatory O2 is generated by the chemical reaction and supply for descent in emergency conditions (min of 15 mins). Once the chemical reaction has started, it cannot be stopped. Surface temperatures of the generator can reach 232°C

Q

portable oxygen

A

First aid and sustaining portable oxygen cylinders are installed at suitable locations in the passenger cabin. They consist of a cylinder containing normally 120 litres of oxygen at a pressure of 1800 psi

Q

crew portable oxygen or smike hood

A

Standard portable O bottles can be used by the crew to enable them to move about the cabin during reduced cabin pressure or smoke it can produce oxygen for
15 minutes once initiated.

Q

crew oxygen

A

Normally consists of a diluter demand system with oxygen stored in high pressure gaseous form(1800 psi).
• The pure O is mixed with cabin air in order to save oxygen and prevent physiological side effects.
o 100% Pure is provided at 33,000 ft
o Below FL330 aneroid controller mix O and cabin air
