What is the journey and origins of the oxus treasure?
The original discoverers sold the treasure to Muslim merchants. On the way to Afghanistan they were robbed but some were saved by Brittish army men who sold pieces to Museum in London. The rest was sold in Paakistan which ended at the British Museum
Problems with provenance
It is uncertain of each pieces origins however they seem to be dated around the same time and from the same culture. Of the origins are unknown, the treasure can only be speculated about
