Q

What is an oxidising and reducing agent?

A
  • oxidising agent causes something to be oxidised, by becoming reduced itself. An oxidising agent isn’t an electron acceptor.
  • reducing agent causes something to be reduced, by becoming oxidised itself. A reducing agent is an electron donor.
