They had to desecrate their mother’s bones. However, Deucalion thinks Themis means to put the earth’s rock and stones behind their backs, not their actual mother’s bones.

She is raped by Jupiter and his wife Juno becomes suspicious. So Jupiter turns Io into a cow. Juno demands Io the cow as a gift and makes Argus watch over her. Meanwhile, Jupiter sends out Mercury to kill Argus and he does. Then, Io is turned into a nymph. She gives birth to Epaphus

A

He goes to see the Sun to find out if he is really his father. The Sun even says so for himself, but Phaeton is not convince. He demands to drive the sun chariot. Although, Sun refuses, his son was too stubborn. When Phaeton starts riding it goes out of control and he could not control. Thus, he burnt the earth, forming desserts. Jupiter sees what happens, and strikes a thunderbolt at Phaeton to prevent any other disaster and killing him.

A

Callisto is a follower of Diana. But Jupiter rapes her and becomes pregnant. Diana sees her condition is puts her to exile. Knowing this, Juno turns her into a bear to make up for her husband’s actions. Callisto’s son Arcas is in the woods and confronts a bear that is his mother. Not knowing this, he is about to kill her, when Jupiter change both mother and son into a constellation.

  1. Narcissus and Echo
A

Echo is a nymph who can only repeat what others are saying. She stands guard when Jupiter is sleeping with other nymphs. So when Juno comes along, he talk start a conversation with him. Juno figures out what is happening and deprives Echo of talking/speech. So Echo sees Narcissus in the woods and falls in love, but she has to wait for him to make the move. Then he gets separated from his friends and encounters Echo. He sees her and wants nothing to do with her. So Echo is wasted away and only her voice is left. Narcissus makes everyone fall in love with him but he always rejects them. Then, a man prays for Narcissus to feel the same rejection he inflicts on people. Then he sees his reflection in a pool of water and falls in love with it. He knows it’s his own self but nonetheless he mope around there. Soon after he dies and turns into the flower narcissus.

A

Pentheus is a mean price of Thebes who make fun of Tiresias. He also disrespects the god Bacchus and wants his men to go capture him. However, his men capture Acoetes, who tells a story of meeting a boy who was Bacchus but no one believed him. In fact that boy was the god and he turned all the crew men into dolphins except Acoetes. Pentheus does not care to respect the god and hates that all the women are frenzy. His mother, Agave sees him as a boar and capture him and then kills him.

A

They lived right next to each other and fell in love but their family forbade it. There was a wall separating them so they talked through a crack. They decided to run away and meet at a tomb. Thisbe was there first but ran away in sight of a lioness. She dropped her shawl. When Pyramus got there, he saw the lioness and the shawl. He believed Thisbe died so he stabs himself. When Thisbe comes back, she sees Pyramus and kills herself as well.

And so it happened, they fused into both male and female beings.

He carries around Medusa’s head as his weapon. At his wedding, Phineus accuses Perseus to steal his bride from him. They fight and he turns everyone to stone.

A

Ceres’s daughter Proserpina is captured by Pluto who was struck with Cupids arrows. Thus, Pluto takes her to the underworld. Ceres goes all over the world looking for her. She comes to a river in Sicily, where Proserpina wan captured. Cyane who knew what happened was turned into water but see managed to show her Proserpina’s girdle. Ceres, the goddess of harvest, becomes very sad and all crops began to die. Arethusa said she saw her as the queen of Pluto now. Ceres goes to Jupiter to bring her daughter back. He could do that if she had not eaten anything from the underworld world. But she did eat seven pomegranate seeds. So Jupiter compromised and Proserpina stays six months with Pluto and then with her mom.

But Alpheus kept looking, making Arethusa sweat and turning into a puddle. Thus, Alpheus turned into himself back to a river so he could mingle with her.

They have a contest, in which both contestants weaves a pictures of gods. Everyone love Arachne, making her win. Minerva tears her piece up and smacks her in the head. She then hangs herself. Minerva takes pity and lets her live as a spider.

She weeps so much that she turns into stone.

The couple persuades Philomela to come with them at Thrace. There, Tereus takes Philomela into the woods and rapes her. She swears to tell everyone and so he cuts off her tongue. Tereus tells his wife that Philomela die. Meanwhile, Philomela weaved symbols to explain what happened and sent it to her sister. Procne not planned revenge. She recuses her sister and kills and cooks her son, Itys for dinner for her husband. Then, Philomela comes in with the son’s head. Before Tereus could kill them both, the sisters turn into birds.

Jason wants the Golden Fleece, but he had to perform 3 tasks. Medea, daughter of Aeetes, who has the fleece, falls in love with Jason. His 3 challenges are kills oxen, plant teeth of a snake, and overcome a dragon. Worried he might die in doing this, Medea helps him by giving him potions only if he marries her. Thus, Jason wins the fleece and earns a wife. However, later, Jason cheats on Medea by marrying a daughter from Corinth. Thus, Medea goes killing the new wife and her children to inflict pain on him.

A

Medea goes to Pelias, who is Jason’s uncle to get his money that was supposed to be his. There, she encounters his daughters and she brags how her revived Jason’s father. The daughters are very impressed and want to do the same for their father. So they did it by stabbing their father to drain the old blood. But Medea uses a fake potion, killing Pelias and flees away.

A

Cephalus marries Procris, but then he is taken away by Aurora. He longs to be back home and grows suspicious if his wife is still loyal to him. So he disguises himself an tests his wife. He tried to convince her to sleep with her and then sent gifts. After refuses multiple time, she was finally about to agree. Just then, Cephalus revealed himself and accused his wife. She ran away into the woods. Then, Cephalus makes to his senses and brings back his wife. They are again happy and Procris gives him a magical spear. Then, when one day he went hunting he was calling out to “Aura,” meaning freshness of the woods. His wife thought he was calling out to a lady so she followed him. He thought she was an animal an threw the spear at her. She dies.

Scylla falls in love with Minos who is a king battles against Greece. Scylla cut her father’s purple hair to give it to Minos to win the war. He does win the war but does not want Scylla. She starts insulting her about his wife’s affair. Madly in love, she swims after Minos’s ships. She then turns into a bird.

A

Daedalus is the creator of the maze that Minos’s son the Minotaur lives. But he is prisoned by Minos. He makes two pairs of wings for him and his son, Icarus, to escape. He warns his son not to fly too high or else the sun with melt his wax. Nonetheless, Icarus does just that and he falls into the ocean. Daedalus rescues him and buries this corpse inland.

A

Meleager had to kill a boar so he calls up the best fighters. Amongst them, is Altanta, who he falls in love with. Althaea first hit the boar in the ear, bring it down. Everyone was upset that a woman did this, except Meleager who cheered. Then, he ends completely the boar’s life and everyone gives him the credit. But he wants Atlanta to share the victory. His uncles refuses this and so Meleager kills them. His mother, Althaea finds out what happened and seek revenge. So when Meleager was born Fates showed up said he will die when a log is not setting on firing. So Althaea does just this and Meleager dies. So after, she stabs herself.

She is the mother of Hercules. When she was going to give birth to him, goddess Juno schemed with Lucina to prevent Alcmena from giving birth because the child is Juno’s husbands’. So Lucina crossed her legs to prevent Alcmena from giving birth. Galanthis realized what is happening so she lied to Lucina that Alcmena bear a healthy child. Thus, Lucina uncrossed her leg, allowing Alcmena to give birth.

Iphis knows Ianthe from school and actually loves her. Ianthe also loves Iphis but does not know he is a girl. The mother, Telethusa keeps pushing the wedding off. But she knows she cannot delay matters and prays for help. Isis turns Iphis into a boy and he marries happily with Ianthe.

Orpheus wants to go down to the underworld to get his wife back. Eurydice die by stepping on a poisonous snake. He asks Pluto and Proserpina for his wife back. When they are almost by their house, he looks back and Eurydice is pulled deeper in to the Underworld. He is shocked and tries again but is refused.

However, Hippomenes did not make any sacrifices to Venus for helping him. So Venus made him fall in love with Cybele’s wife and he turn the lovers into lions.

Meanwhile, the ghost of Achilles comes to Agammeon to tell him to avenge his death. Thus, the Greeks plan to kill Polyxena, daughter of Priam and Hecuba, the King and Queen of Troy. When they were going to kill her, she gives a speech about how she goes to her death freely, not as a slave. Hecuba is taken a prison, and is happy that her son is still safe. But then she sees her son’s body float by and is angry. She goes to Polymestor and kills him by pointing out his eyes and brain. She is turned into a hound.

Glaucus went to the witch Circe to help him. There, Circe fell in love with Glaucus but he refused. So she put herbs where Scylla was swimming, turning her half body into dogs.

Iphis killed himself because she did not love him back. Then, Anaxerete turned into stone. After the story, Pomona loved Vertumnus.

A

He is the son of Theseus. His step-mother, Phaedra tried to get her to sleep with him. When he refused, she told Theseus, her husband, that Hippolytus had been sexually harassing her. Theseus believed her and banished Hippolytus from his kingdom. While Hippolytus was riding in his chariot on his way to Corinth, suddenly a huge wave rose up out of the sea and swept towards him. Riding the crest of the wave was a giant bull. Hippolytus tried to maneuver his chariot to escape it, but then his chariot broke a wheel and he was hurled through the air. His body was shattered to smithereens, and he died. Even though he went down to the Underworld, however, Hippolytus was miraculously saved by the healing arts of Aesculapius, the son of Apollo. Then, Diana helped find him a new home on earth. So that no one would recognize him, she changed his body, making him old and withered, and also gave him a new name, Virbius. Now, Hippolytus explains, he lives in the woods as Virbius, a minor god.
