1
Q
3 presentations of ACS (acute coronary syndromes?
A
- UA - Unstbale Angina
- NSTEMI - non-ST elevation myocardial infraction
- STEMI - ST elevation myocardial infraction
2
Q
How the diagnosis of MI can be confirmed?
A
- ECG
2. serum cardiac biomarker elevation
3
Q
Goals of the acute management of the patient with ACS?
A
- Relief of ischemic pain
- Assessment of the patient’s hemodynamic status & correction abnormalities (HTN & Tachycardia -> BB + Nitroglycerin )
- Estimation of risk
- Choice of a management strategy: invasive ( PCI\CABG), conservative
- Initiation of antithrombotic therapy (including antiplatelet and anticoagulant therapies)
- BB to prevent recurrent ischemia and life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias
4
Q
acute management drugs
A
- Long-term antiplatelet therapy
- Statins
- Long-term oral anticoagulation in the presence of left ventricular thrombus or chronic atrial fibrillation to prevent embolization
- Possible use of ACEi in pts at increased risk
