Meander, ox-bow lake, levee

A
A river that twists back and forth that looks like the loop of a rope

What is found on the outer bank?
A
A steeper possibly cliffy edge

What is found on the inner bank?
A
A sandy or gravelly beach with much less of a gradient

Why is the beach on the inner bank?
A
The rocks flow along but fall when in the slower current of the river, leading to the build up of sand and gravel

A
The rocks flowin in the stronger current push,tear and corroded the outer bank of the river
