What is the purpose of the ovation system
A locally controlled system that allows operators to control specific systems
Ovation perfoms what functions
Inputs form plant process sensors ( Flow level pressure temp)
Performs algorithms based on inputs from operators and plant sensors
What is the purpose of the ovation architecture
provides robust redundancies
What does the ovation network consists of
Servers, Operator workstations, Equipment Controllers, Switches and connections between them
What is a Switch
Device that connects multiple devices
What is a Drop
Any computer that is logged in and using the Ovation software
What is a Point
An ID number for everything that is tied into the ovation network (Database records)
What is Drop 200 SS
A software server that maintains a master set of the configuration files for all the Drops on the DCIS
What is Drop DB
A master set Database that maintains all the Database points
What is Drop 201 OWS
An operator station the is the Primary interface between operators and the actual plant. allows you to control the system and look at trends
What is the Primary domain server
Gatekeeper for the system that allows acess to certain acess
What is Drop 160
Ovation Historian
keeps records of all points and trends
